Thou has given so much to me
Give me one thing more, a grateful heart:
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.
To George Herbert prayer is the “heart in pilgrimage” and the pathway of the Christian life. His famous prayer “A Grateful Heart” embodies the spirit of gratitude that is essential to our journey in faith.
