Timothy R. Botts ORIGINAL CALLIGRAPHY

Isaiah 53:3-6
He was despised and rejected, a man of sorrows,
acquainted with bitterest grief.
He was wounded and crushed for our sins.
He was beaten that we might have peace.
He was whipped and we were healed.
All of us have strayed away like sheep.
We have left Gods paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him, the guilt and sins of us all.
Through his expressive calligraphy Tim Botts presents an elegant word picture of this iconic Lenten passage from Isaiah 53. He visually illustrates how the meaning of the Lenten scripture is centered around Christ on the cross, who was despised, rejected, beaten and whipped that we might gain salvation and receive his peace and forgiveness.
